Just a note from me

 I have the privilege of keeping a blog for the class of 1960 and one for the class of 1970. They are pretty much the same in that it sort of helps to keep the class member updated on information that they may be interested in. The class of 1970 had begun the same thing as the class of 1960 and sending in information of a certain nature. After a couple of blog notifications I got the following note. I thought I would share it with you, the class of 1960: So far, it has worked.

  I feel sad when I hear of my friends & classmates who are no longer with us. Many like Bob Adams were good & close friends. The point of my story is to say that I wish we could hear more wonderful & good stories that our friends have experienced. I have three daughters - son in laws & seven grandchildren who continue to make an experienced man feel alive & young.

   So maybe those of us who are remaining can share many good stories & speak of the accomplishments that we achieved in our lives. I am a maverick so tell me of the wonderful side of life.

Prayers for Robbie Andrews Murphy

  This is Robbie Andrews Murphy, I graduated in 1960.  I’d like to ask that fellow classmates pray for me.  I am having Deep Brain Stimulation beginning Feb 9, 2023 to help with Essential Tremors.  It will actually be in 4 procedures and is quite serious and more complicated than I originally thought.  The last procedure will be Feb . 28th.  Many trips to Neurosurgeons will follow! All prayers will be greatly appreciated!  

Please remember Robbie with your prayers and a note of encouragement is always a wonderful way to let them know you are remembering her.

 Billy fell at the location in Tallahassee Florida. Since that time,  Ann has taken him home to Kinsey.

 The funeral for Joe is planned for December 1, 2022 at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church on Andrews Avenue in Ozark. Visitation is at 10 a.m. and funeral at 11 a.m.

     After battling open heart surgery, Covid 19, blood infection, 3 hospital stays, 2 Nursing home stays and 2 or 3 stints in rehab, Ann is finally home with full time oxygen. She is optimistic and thankful for being able to be home. She loves classmate contact and would appreciate a card or note of encouragement.  Her address is:
